Hotel PONDOK SARI

Pondok Sari - Pool

Pemuteran (Sundown)

Balinesian-Categorie: 4 Star.

This very comfortable hotel is built with traditional local architecture.
The reception area is an antique hall from Java, the centrepiece of which is the complexly carved wood-panelled ceiling.
Walk along the path alongside one of the three lily ponds from the reception area to the restaurant to be greeted with a Welcome drink - a freshly pressed tropical fruit cocktail.

Location:

The Pondok Sari Resort is situated on a fine sandy lava beach in the near from Pemuteran on the northwest coast of Bali - an area which up until now rarely offered accommodation to tourists. The Pemuteran bay is picturesquely surrounded by mountains. On the beach, ancient deciduous trees provide shade.
Situated directly in the National park Bali Barat and in the under water national park Menjangan, the Pondok Sari, which opened in 1991 was the only hotel in this region for many years. Despite the tourism which has just started in this area, the residents of Pemuteran have retained their "close to nature" way of life.

Transfer:

The 3 hour journey from the airport in Denpasar to Pondok Sari through a beautiful landscape of rice terraces, temples and small villages gives you the chance to receive an impression of the natural and cultural variety this wonderful country has to offer.

Social responsibility:

As a supporter of gentle tourism, the management of the hotel is actively involved in the protection and conservation of the Balinese traditions and their original way of life.
Many social services have been contracted out to the village community by the hotel management, and the few resorts that have since opened are also continuing this practice.
This means that, for example the snorkelling on the public beaches is organised by the villagers and the revenue attained goes to the village community.
