Training and diving courses
International Aquanautic Club (CMAS), SSI and PADI diving courses are continually on offer. The diving courses take place in small groups (1 diving instructor - 2 participants), thus avoiding stress and ensuring effective training to meet your individual needs.
The course commences with an introductory dive in the shallow waters of the Lagoon (approx. 1.5 metres). Under the wing of a professional instructor the students have plenty of time (approx.1 hour) to get used to the water and learn underwater breathing. At the end of this try dive the students are divided up into groups for the next day.
The actual training course runs over three days. The diving students are in the water morning and afternoon. Professional diving instructors will be teaching them in groups of two. The last of the six training sessions (and the highlight of the course for most students) includes diving from a boat.
The theory (about 6 hours in total) will be taught over the three days between 17:30 and 19:30. After successfully completing the final theory examination, the diving student will be presented with an internationally recognised certificate (CMAS *). Alternatively, you may choose the PADI training programme (PADI Open Water Diver).
The diving school offers advanced courses up to CMAS gold and PADI Divemaster level. We can train and certify you in most specialized diving courses.

Diving area
Spectacular! On the north side it falls to more than 50 meters. 7 entry points, all served with tank shuttle service, make for easy diving on the house reef.
We have already sighted mantas and whale sharks several times right on the house reef itself. You can go on early morning, as well as on late night dives whenever you wish, provided you dive within safe guidelines. Experienced divers can explore the reef together with their diving partners. It is not compulsory to be accompanied by a diving instructor.
Wrecks on the house reef
Since November 30, 2009, the house reef at Filitheyo Island offers one more attraction. KM AGRO MINA II. This has been used for many years as fishing boat by AAA and now lies on the North side of Filitheyo Island, its last resting place.
The wreck is in an upright position on the bottom at a maximum depth of 32 meters.
Before sinking the 30 meter vessel we added additional openings to it, in order to facilitate easier wreck penetration.
The first marine life has already moved in and not before long the first stingrays and nurse sharks will surely follow...
Another wreck was added to the house reef of Filitheyo on the 23rd December 2010. The Koimas I, with a length of 34 meters & a width of 8 meters, is a little bit larger than the KM Argro MINA II. The ship is lying at a starting depth of 21 meters, down to a maximum of 34 meters and can be dived by divers of all levels from house reef entry 5. Greetings from Truck Lagoon!

boat dives
We have 3-4 diving boats (Dhonies) which depart daily at 9.00 and 14.30. The various diving spots can be reached within 5-60mins. We also offer weekly full-day trips and/or 2-Tank-Dives. These take you to locations with potential manta sightings, on the west side of the atoll.
The Dhonies visit 3 or 4 different reefs which vary in difficulty, so there is something for everyone. This gives you the chance to choose the reef which seems most suitable for your personal diving abilities.
We are offering more than 30 different diving sites. This pristine area and the reefs within it are exclusive to divers from Filitheyo. This is a privilege which cannot be underestimated.
