Die Mantas sind wieder da / The Mantas are back again

Natürlich haben auch wir hier im Noonu Atoll sogenannte Manta Putzerstationen. Zu bestimmten Zeiten im Jahr treffen sich dort die Mantas, um sich sauber machen zu lassen.

Jetzt wo der Monsun gewechselt hat, wurde es hoechste Zeit nachzuschauen, ob sie dort schon wieder eingetroffen sind. Tatsaechlich hatten wir Glück und 3 der riesigen Rochen haben uns begruesst. Wir sind jedes Mal wieder auf’s Neue begeistert von diesen wunderschoenen Meeresbewohnern. Natuerlich hoffen wir das naechste Mal noch mehr von ihnen anzutreffen.  😀

Sure we have some so called Manta cleaner stations in the Noonu Atoll too. At certain times of the year they get there to get themselves cleaned. Now that the Monsoon changed it was about time to check out if they are back already. Luckily 3 of those giant rays greeted us there. Again and again we are amazed by those beautiful inhabitants of the sea.  Of course we hope to see more of them next time. 😀
