Two Thousand Hands of Traditional Indonesian Massage
Um Indonesien auch als Spa und Wellness Destination bekannter zu machen, wurde vom Tourismus und Creative Economy Ministerium ein Weltrekordversuch gestartet bei dem 1000 Spa Therapeuten gleichzeitig und simultan eine Massage für 15 Minuten durchzuführen hatten. Es galt dabei den Rekord von Thailand mit 641 Simultanmassagen zu schlagen.
Dafür kamen Therapisten aus ganz Indonesien zusammen auf Bali. Um auch unsere Region einzubeziehen, bat die Hotelorganisation PHRI auch uns, dabei mitzumachen.
Am 9. Mai haben sich also unser Guest Relation und Spa Chef Gede Budi und unsere Therapisten Made und Putu auf den Weg nach Sanur gemacht, um diesen Versuch zu unterstützen. Anbei ein paar Impressionen: im Bus, Kleidervergabe, noch etwas Puder… und dann konnte es losgehen.
Wir gratulieren zu dem erfolgreich aufgestellten Rekord, 2000 goldene Hände haben dabei für 15 Minuten eine Balinesische Massage am Strand von Sanur durchgeführt!

To promote Indonesia as a spa and wellness destination, the Ministery of Tourism and Creative Economy started a world record attempt to have 1000 spa therapists at one time and simultaneously perform a massage of 15 minutes duration. This to beat the standing record from Thailand of 641 simultaneous massages.
For this attempt, therapists from the whole of Indonesia came together on Bali. To have participation from our area, the hotel organisation PHRI asked us to join.
On the 9th of May our Guest Relation and Spa Chef Budi and our therapists Made and Putu took the journey to Sanur to support this record attempt. Attached find some impressions: in the bus, clothes distribution, a bit of powder…. and then they were ready to start.
We congratulate with the successfully achieved record, 2000 golden hands performed a 15 minute Balinese massage at the beach in Sanur!
