Manta Special – Edition 1

Die nächsten Wochen möchten wir Euch gerne unsere Mantas näher bringen. Während der ganzen Manta Saison, die von Dezember bis April geht, haben wir die Photos von fleissigen Unterwasserphotographen eingesammelt und zum weltweiten Mantatrust gesendet. Wurde einer “unserer” Mantas als neuer Datenbankeintrag identifiziert, durften wir ihm/ihr einen Namen geben. Bedeutet, ihr werdet jetzt UNSERE Mantas kennenlernen. Heute möchten wir Euch Werner-Lau vorstellen. Werner ist ein junges Männchen. Wir hoffe, Dich noch oft in unserem Atoll begrüßen zu dürfen!

The following weeks we would like to introduce our manta rays. All through manta season (December to April) we collected pictures of u/w photographers and sent them to the Mantatrust. If one of the submission resulted in a new manta database entry we were asked to name the manta. Hence the expression OUR mantas.. :-). Today we would like to introduce Werner-Lau. Werner is an immature male manta and a real beauty. Hope he sticks around for a while!
