TAUCHEN-Readers Tour Malediven 2019

01.01.2019

In cooperation with the magazine Tauchen there will be an explorer tour with the MY Sheena towards the far north of the Maldives in July 2019.

The tour is not only a highlight for true Maldives fans. Rather we would like to address this tour also to those who love adventure and want to discover new things. Together with the magazine Tauchen we have therefore worked out the following tour with start in Male and ending up in Hondaafushi. Tauchen author Linus Geschke will also be part of the tour.

The Explorer Tour to the north of the Maldives is combined with the famous Werner-Lau dive sites from the 80s around Eriyadu and the new sites in the Haa Dhaalu Atoll.

For the domestic flight from Hanimaadhoo to Male there is an additional charge of approx. 200,- Euro per person.

We start our tour at Male Airport and will do our introductory dive in Male Atoll. Afterwards we continue to the Mantapoint at Lankanfinolhu and the channels up to Eriyadu. Here the legendary places like Finger Point and Lucky Hell are on the agenda.

The next fixed points will be the Giraveru Channel and Hanifaru Bay.

The Hanifaru Bay is THE Manta and Whale Shark place in the Baa Atoll and protected as a UNESCO National Park. Snorkeling is only possible with special permission.

On the way up to the Haa Dhalu Atoll we will dive dive sites around Dholiyadhoo and Kuda-Funafaru and explore the Ihavandhippolhu Atoll. The way to the north of the Maldives offers many canals and tilas which have not been dived yet and therefore has expedition character. Together with your we will explore and work out new places.

Our tour will end at Hondaafushi. Here we have already found some great dive sites, but there are still many explorer possibilities.

In addition to scuba diving, the Maldivian culture should not be neglected. We are planning a visit at Utheemu with you. Here you can visit the temple Utheemu Ganduvaru Palace. Utheemu is the monument of the greatest hero of the nation of the Maldives: Sultan Mohamed Thakurufaan. Other local islands can be included in the plan.

Of course there will also be a barbecue on an uninhabited island and we will introduce Hondaafushi to our guests. Hondaafushi was just opened last year. The island itself is with almost 2 km length one of the big islands of the Maldives but only to about a third built on.

Included in the price: Full board incl. coffee, tea and water, diving and Nitrox (Nitrox without guarantee in case of technical problems).
