One particular adrenaline rush during this safari is the channel crossing of “One and a Half Degree Channels” (Huvadhoo Kandu) – a broad expanse of water separating the Laamu- and Gaafu Alifu Atolls. Anyone’s seamanship will be challenged during this crossing as this area is characterized by strong currents, rough seas and other difficult contributing conditions.
At present, the reefs in the Gaafu Alifu Atoll are entirely uncharted and have the potential to deliver some exciting diving. This is where you get your money’s worth!

Everybody who want to dive the Gaafu Alifu Atoll but does not want be on the Safari for 2 weeks could join our new 7-days special tour “The Best of The Best Maldives”. This tours will not start from Filitheyo, but from further south in the Gaafu Alifu Atoll or in Fuvamulah. The transfer will be organized from/to Male directly to Kooddoo or Fuvamulah.
