Dolir (Ketut Sukiarta) grew up with seven brothers and sisters, which explains why he had to start work immediately after school and thus he was glad to start working with us in 2015. Coming from such a large family, one has to make sure to get ahead in life. He is aware of this, and therefore he takes his training as a dive guide very seriously. His eagerness sometimes becomes obvious by the fact that for sheer concentration he forgets to smile – which is rare in Balinese. His instructor Suef is happy with his theoretical knowledge and his understanding of even complicated issues, and guides him constantly to do every imaginable type of practical exercises, because: only through practice you will become a master – it is like that! We expect to see him more and more often working underwater.
