Karim is from Alexandria and he started diving there in 1998. Soon he realized that he wants to become a professional diver and he moved to Hurghada and worked there as a dive guide until he became an instructor in 2007. Afterwards he also worked for Sinai Divers and Werner Lau in Sharm. In 2016 he decided to try something different and left to Fuerteventura for a season. After their high season finished and he started to freeze, he knew it was time to move back to the warm Red Sea.
