Training & diving courses

Introductory Dives

To allow you a first impression of diving, we offer introductory dives at the pool several times a week. For those who are interested in learning to dive we offer professional courses to SSI and International Aquanautic Club (i.a.c.), CMAS guidelines. These courses last four days in small groups of up to a maximum of 6 people.

Dive Courses

The course is planned so that the theory and practical instruction (6 dives) alternate to make the course more interesting. After passing the exam, the diving students receive an internationally recognised certificate (i.a.c. Open Water Diver, SSI Open Water Diver).

For those who only wish to try out diving in the wonderful under water world of the Red Sea, we also offer this opportunity with introductory dives of 15-20 minutes. In a depth of only 4-5 meters it is like being in an aquarium and you can enjoy the beautiful world of the coral reefs. This service is offered on a one-to-one basis of one guest and one diving instructor.

We also offer advanced courses up to SSI Divecon and CMAS Gold as well as different special courses and nitrox diving. All specialty courses will be trained and certified after the regulations of SSI or i.a.c.

 

Kids diving

At Werner Lau Diving Centers in Marsa Alam children can start diving at the age of 8. Eight- and nine-year-old children can participate in the kids course experience. This is a shore dive with a maximum depth of 2m. At the age of 10 children can do an introductory dive – either from the boat or from the shore – the maximum depth for this dive is 6m.

The minimum age to participate in the Junior Scuba Diver or the Junior Open Water Diver course is 10. At the age of 15, this certification can be exchanged for the Open Water Diver certification.
